I made some cardinal earrings nominally originally for 2025 xmas gifts (that I failed mostly to distribute [let alone photograph,] but they're based on this earlier design) which I repurposed for folks I hoped to see when I travelled to see a friend across the country.
giftwrap, tissue paper, wire edged ribbon, silver star, bow, white plastic shreds; February 2026; photographed with a pixel pro 6, cropped and brightened a bit in gimp
One of the giftwraps didn't survive the trip to Colorado, so I salvaged tissue paper from one of the other gifts (for Cinder, actually), rewrapped the gift, using some of the gold paper as an under-ribbon, relying on the subtle silver stripe in the red and green ribbon (plus the silver cord that is the third layer of ribbon) to tie in the snowflake and and bow with the otherwise red-gold-green colour scheme. (The original paper was silver, white and blue.)
The photo isn't great—the lighting is kinda flat, even with gimp, and the background doesn't really go—not to mention the wrapping itself is sloppy cuz I didn't have any tape, but I was just so pleased to rescue the giftwrap that I'm posting anyway.
